Participation of Minister Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca in the Videoconference of the NATO Defence Ministers

During the first day of the Videoconference of the NATO Defence Ministers, the Allied Ministers evaluated the implementation status of NATO's deterrence and defence posture, with focus on the implications generated by Russia's development of the dual and nuclear missile systems for the European and Euro-Atlantic security. In this respect, the officials adopted a coherent package of political and military adaptation measures and reasserted NATO's substantial commitment for the control, disarmament and proliferation of armaments.

The second day of the Videoconference of the NATO Defence Ministers

The second day of the Videoconference of the NATO Defence Ministers focused on the Allied response to the crisis generated by the COVID-19, and the preparations for a potential second wave of the pandemics. The activity was also attended by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell Fontelles, as well as by the Finnish, Swedish and Australian defence ministers, considering the value added to their contributions in support of NATO's effort to combat the pandemics.
