While carrying out a paratroops training mission on Monday, July 5, an AN-2 aircraft of the Air Force School in Boboc, crashed on Tuzla airdrome at 17.40 hrs. Ten young officers died in the accident, another three were injured.
Colonel (AF) Nicolae Jianu, commander of the Air Force School "Aurel Vlaicu" in Boboc, was on board of the AN-2 aircraft that crashed on Tuzla airdrome, on Monday, July 5, at 17.40 hrs.
Lieutenant Liviu Antim, one of the soldiers killed in the air accident of July 5 on Tuzla airdrome, died last night. After first aid procedures had been applied, he was immediately taken to the Military Hospital (SUUMC). Despite doctor’s efforts he could not be saved.
