A military and religious ceremony was organized at the 20th Infantry Battalion HQ in Craiova, on Friday, June 24. The ceremony marked the end of mission in Afghanistan for the structures within the 2nd "Rovine" Infantry Brigade - Combined Team Zabul and of the 20th "Scorpionii Negri" Infantry Battalion. The Minister of National Defence Gabriel Oprea congratulated the troops and thanked them for the way they fulfilled their mission: "The balance of your mission, successfully accomplished under NATO command, is impressive. The thousands of kilometers you covered to ensure the protection of military convoys as well as of the strategic route A1, speak of the effort the soldiers of the 20th "Scorpionii Negri" Infantry Battalion made in order to accomplish the missions Romania pledged itself to".
