Minister Mihnea Motoc at the Meetings of the Foreign Affairs Council in Defence Ministers Format and the Steering Committee of the European Defence Agency

The Minister of National Defence, Mihnea Motoc, will participate in the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council in Defence Ministers Format and in the meeting of the Steering Committee of the European Defence Agency in mixed format, along the foreign affairs ministers, that will be held in Brussels, on November 14 and 15.

Defence and Foreign Affairs Ministers Meet their French Counterparts

While at the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council, the defence minister Mihnea Motoc and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Lazar Comanescu had discussions in 2+2 format with their French counterparts, Jean-Yves Le Drian and Jean-Marc Ayrault, respectively.

The meeting of Foreign Affairs Council that took place in Brussels over November 14 and 15, gave the green light to implementing the EU Global Strategy and set the general lines of action for the development of the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP). Part of the decisions taken will be extended till 2019, when Romania will take over the Presidency of the EU Council.
