The International Seminar "Security in South Eastern Europe after NATO and EU enlargement in 2004" will be developed between July 10 and 11, 03 at the Marble Hall (National Military Center). The organizers are the Institute for Political Studies of Defense and Military History together with the Institute for National Strategic Studies of National University of Defense from Washington DC, the European Center for Studies of Security "George C. Marshall" from Garmisch Partenkirchen (Germany) and the Euro-Atlantic Association ''Manfred Worner".
Political and military personalities, specialists, experts and researchers from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaidjan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Great Britain, FYROM, Moldavia, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, United States of America, Ukraine and the Center 'George C. Marshall'', Center for Democratic Control over the Armed Forces (Geneva), national institutions and NGOs will participate to this seminar.
The discussions will be focused on the legal aspects of the characteristics of the environment of security in the South East of Europe, the impact of the double enlargement over the future of the region, NATO perspectives and the American implication in this area, NATO/EU relations and implications on the security in Caucasus.
The reunion is part of the traditional scientific manifestations organized with the generous support offered by the Institute for National Strategic Studies from Washington DC.
A press conference will be organized Friday July 11, 03 between 12.15 and 12.45 hours in the Marble Hall of the National Military Cercle.
