Meeting of Minister Duşa with the Ambassador of Kuwait in România
The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Duşa, received the Ambassador of Kuwait in Romania, H.E. Mubarak M. Alsehaijan, at the defence ministry HQ, on Thursday, September 10.
During the talks, the two officials expressed their concern on the mass migration of the civil population from conflict areas such as Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, considering it to be a matter that should be treated with diplomacy and humanely.
Minister Mircea Duşa also pointed out the interest of the Romanian side to sign the draft Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the State of Kuwait on defence cooperation, that should, in his opinion, give an impulse to bilateral cooperation that would allow the development of common projects.
As to the present security context, the importance was stressed out of taking further practical cooperation and intensifying dialogue and an exchange of opinions on the challenges to international security.
At the end, the Romanian minister saluted the efforts of the Kuweit authorities to consolidate relations with NATO, and expressed his belief that a joint approach to the threats on global security would be beneficial.
