Tuesday, July 20, 04 30 Serbian children from Kosovo and 3 teachers on board of an AN26 plane of the Romanian Air Force arrived to the 90th Air Transport Base for spending a two weeks holiday in Romania.

The trip is offered by the Ministry of National Defence and it was suggested by the commander of the Romanian detachment dislocated in Gorazdevac, Kosovo during the visit Ioan Mircea Pascu minister of National Defenceand General Mihail Popescu, chief of the Romanian General Staff made in the theater of operations, February 04. The Romanian officials became acquainted that the children from the Romanian area of responsibility never passed the locality they were born and thus they decided to organize the trips in Romania for the Serbian and Albanian children from this region. The Romanian General Staff organized the summer holiday in Romania for an equal number of Serbian and Albanian children from Kosovo.

July 20 and 24, 04 the children will have accommodation at the Military Lyceum College “Dimitrie Cantemir” from Breaza and will visit the historical and tourist objectives in the region and between July 24 and August 1, 04 they will spent the vacation at the seaside having the accommodation at the Navy Academy ‘Mircea cel Batran” in Constanta.

The second series of 30 Albanian children and their teachers will arrive August 1, 04 having the identical two weeks program in Romania returning Kosovo August 14,04.
