Military Parade in Bucharest to celebrate Romania’s National Day
More than 1,500 soldiers and specialists of the Ministry of National Defence, Ministry of Internal Affairs, The Romanian Intelligence Service, Special Telecommunications Service and National Administration of Penitentiary and almost 120 pieces of equipment, 40 of which aircraft, will participate on Thursday, 1 December starting 11.00, in the Military Parade organized to celebrate Romania’s National Day in the Arch of Triumph Square, from Bucharest.
150 foreign soldiers will also march off in the military parade as part of several detachments from Belgium, France, North Macedonia, Republic of Moldova, Portugal, United States of America and the Netherlands, alongside soldiers representing the Allied troop contributing countries to the NATO structures deployed on Romanian territory, as well as 25 technical pieces of equipment, including Canadian, Italian, Spanish and American fighters.
The National Anthem will be played at the beginning of the ceremony concomitantly with the firing of 21 cannonballs. The President of Romania, Mr. Klaus Iohannis , will lay a wreath in the memory of the Romanian heroes who fell on duty on the battlefields for the reunification of the Romanian nation and a minute’s silence will be observed.

On the occasion of Romania’s National Day, representatives of the Romanian Armed Force will participate, together with the local authorities, in the preparation and organization of a ceremony in the garrisons where the military units are deployed, while the soldiers assigned in missions abroad will conduct military ceremonies.
Also, the national flag will be hoisted in all military institutions from the country and the Great Pavoaz will be raised onboard of maritime and riverine ships.

In the attention of mass-media representatives:
- Journalists accredited to the ceremony will only have pedestrian access on Thursday, 1 December, via Constantin Prezan Avenue (Charles de Gaulle Square), between 07.00 and 09.45.
- The access of mass-media representatives will be possible only with previous accreditation as well as their identity card and press badge.
- the Romanian Television will provide , for this event, as “official broadcaster”, a free of charge television signal to all interested television posts on condition that they mention the text “Reception from TVR” in a visible spot, throughout the entire broadcasting period. - On Saturday, 26 November, in Ghencea Training Area, starting 10.00, there will be a rehearsal open to mass-media representatives. In this respect, we ask the journalists interested in attending this event, to send to relatii.publice02180@forter.ro email address, by Friday, 25 November, 12.00, the data necessary to receive accreditation (name, surname, series of identity card, media institution represented, registration number of DSNG vehicle). They will be expected on Saturday, 26 November, between 08.45 and 09.15, at the Post Control of the 265th Military Police Battalion, located on 4-6 Antiaerianã Street, Bucharest. - The general rehearsal will take place on Sunday, 27 November, starting 9.00, at the Arch of Triumph. We advice the mass-media institutions that wish to broadcast images from the rehearsal to send, if possible, the same teams accredited for the 1 December ceremony in order not to overcrowd the area in the Arch of Triumph. The live broadcastings from the rehearsal will be made only with portable devices.
- For an efficient conduct of the official ceremony organized on the occasion of Romania’s National Day, the Road Police Brigade Bucharest will take measures to ensure fluency of the traffic and will inform the drivers with respect to the existing road restrictions on the road trunks converging to the Arch of Triumph Square, for 27th November and 1st December.
