Updated information on the reconnaissance of the possible impact areas of certain drone elements

On Sunday, September 8th, the Ministry of National Defence forces conducted reconnaissance actions to identify possible drone fragments that fell following the attacks from the previous night carried out by the Russian forces on certain civilian targets and port infrastructure in Ukraine, in the proximity of the border with Romania.

MoND teams, in cooperation with specialists from the Romanian Intelligence Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, investigated the proximity of Periprava town, Tulcea County, from where they picked up fragments of a drone of Russian origin, to be expertised, according to legal procedures.

Over the next period, reconnoitring actions will also be carried out in the vicinity of Caraorman town, where another possible impact area has been reported.

We mention that both the reconnoitred area near Periprava town, as well as the possible impact area in the proximity of Caraorman town, are located in swampy areas, outside the towns, and the infrastructure elements were not affected.
