Executive Director of the Partnership Consortium for Peace (PfP) of Defence Academies and Security Studies Institutes paid a visit to the Ministry of National Defence
State Secretary for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations, Simona Cojocaru, received the visit of the Executive Director of the Partnership Consortium for Peace (PfP) of Defence Academies and Security Studies Institutes, Dr. Sarah Lynne Schatz, on Thursday, October 17th, at the Ministry of National Defence headquarters.
During the meeting, the officials approached topics of common interest regarding the role and contribution of the PfP Consortium in enhancing international cooperation and security. An emphasis was placed on the importance of military education and the facilitation of scientific cooperation between allied and partner states. In this context, the participants highlighted Romania’s active and long-lasting participation in the PfP Consortium activities carried out throughout the 25 years since its establishment, as well as our country’s continuous commitment to support initiatives that promote peace and regional stability through dialogue and scientific cooperation.
The Department of Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations contributes directly to the activities of this international forum through the coordination of the Conflict Studies Working Group by the Institute for Defence Political Studies and Military History.
On this occasion, Dr. Schatz also met with representatives of "Carol I" National Defence University and the Institute for Defence Political Studies and Military History, in order to identify opportunities to enhance scientific collaboration. He also participated in the Euro-Atlantic Resilience Forum, organized in Bucharest, over October 16-18, by the Euro-Atlantic Resilience Center.
