Minister of National Defence, to participate in the Meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council

Minister of National Defence, Angel Tîlvăr, will participate on Tuesday, November 19th, in the Meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council in Defence Ministers' format, in Brussels.

The agenda of the ministerial meeting includes talks on the support offered to Ukraine by the European Union and the increase of the preparedness level of the EU states to support the defence efforts. Particular attention will be paid to the Draghi and Niinistö reports in the defence area, as well as to the Defence White Paper which is to be presented by the European Commission, in collaboration with the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

Minister of National Defence will also participate in the European Defence Agency Steering Committee Meeting, during which the document resulting from the third cycle of the Coordinated Annual Review on Defence will be approved - the CARD 2024 Report.
