Investigations made by the inter-agency team to identify the drone debris fallen on Romanian territory, in the border area, were concluded

The inter-agency team, made up of MoND, Romanian Intelligence Service and Ministry of Interior specialists, concluded the investigations conducted on January 17th, in the border area of ​​Tulcea County, following the drone attacks carried out during the night, against certain Ukrainian civilian targets and port infrastructure.

 

Following the field investigations, the specialists identified two areas where remains of Geran1/2 Russian made drones fell, one between the Ceatalchioi and Tudor Vladimirescu localities, and the other one south of Chilia Veche.  The impact of the drone debris did not affect the infrastructure elements and no material damage was reported.

 

MoND forces and means of equipment will continue to monitor the area in the proximity of the Ukrainian ports targeted by the attacks of the Russian Federation over recent days. 

 

The Ministry of National Defence informs the Allied structures in real time about these situations. 

 

We also firmly condemn the attacks conducted by the Russian Federation against certain Ukrainian civil infrastructure facilities and elements, which are unjustified and in serious contradiction with the norms of international law.
