Multinational Exercise DYNAMIC FRONT 26

Headquarters Multinational Corps Southeast (HQ MNC-SE), together with the 56th Multi-Domain Command – Europe, alongside NATO allies and partners, commenced Multinational Exercise DYNAMIC FRONT 26, the largest interoperability exercise of the United States Army Artillery conducted in Europe, from January 26th to February 13th, 2026. The exercise represents the practical implementation of the Eastern Flank Deterrence Line (EFDL) and aims to exercise the NATO regional plans, as well as integrate effects in the land, air, maritime, cyber and space domains, in order to counter access restriction and area control capabilities, supported by concentrated conventional forces.

DYNAMIC FRONT 26 places an increased emphasis on command and control, simulation and multi-domain integration and reflects the realities of modern conflicts, where forces must operate remotely, across national borders and in multiple domains, while maintaining the speed and accuracy of the decision-making process. Live-fire activities are conducted in several Allied countries, Romania playing an important role by hosting training sequences in the Cincu Training Area, which directly contributes to increasing Allied interoperability and strengthening NATO's deterrence and defence posture on the Eastern Flank.

As part of the exercise, on February 9th, Headquarters Multinational Corps Southeast (MNC-SE) in cooperation with the 56th Multi-Domain Command – Europe, are organizing Media Day at Cincu Training Area, Romania. The event will include observation of firing points and ammunition impact, as well as close air support (CAS), followed by a press conference organized at the observation point. The activities are attended by structures of the United States, Romania, Poland and France.

DYNAMIC FRONT 26 highlights the role of 56th Multi-Domain Command – Europe by integrating theater-level effects and developing large-scale multidomain operations and marks the last edition of the exercise in its current format, which will merge with Arcane Thunder next year, under the name Arcane Front. Through this exercise, the United States, Romania and NATO allies reaffirm their strong commitment to collective defence and regional security.
