On Friday, September 11th, around 04:15, the MoND's radar surveillance system detected a group of aerial targets approximately 16 km north of Vylkove, Ukraine, near the border with Romania.
The National Military Command Center notified the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations regarding the need to alert the population in the northern part of Tulcea County, and a RO-Alert message was issued at 04:36.
Two Romanian Air Force F-16 aircraft, conducting Air Policing Service at the 86th Borcea Air Base, scrambled to monitor the situation.
The air alert in northern Tulcea County ceased at 06:30.
No incursions into the national airspace were reported.
