Minister of National Defence on official visit in the United States of America
Minister of National Defence, Mihai Fifor, is on official visit in the United States of America from September 24 to September 28, 2018. He will officially meet his counterpart, State Secretary for Defence James Mattis in Pentagon.
The Minister of National Defence at CEPA Forum
On Monday, September 24th, during his official visit at Washington, the Minister of National Defence, Mihai Fifor, participated in the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) Forum which debated on "Winning the 21st Century-Allied Strengh and Solidarity". Minister Fifor participated in the Forum as special guest and delivered a presentation within "Beyond 2%: Quantity and Quality in European Defense Investments" Panel.
Defence minister's participation in the Round Table organized by Heritage Foundation
On Tuesday, September 25th, Defence minister Mihai Fifor participated in a Round Table organized by Heritage Foundation, at Washington D.C. The Round Table brought together Heritage experts, representatives of the US Congress and Administration, as well as famous specialists in the field of international security.
During his official visit to the Unites States of America, defence minister Mihai Fifor had a series of meetings with the representatives of Bell Helicopter, Boeing, Raytheon and Lockeed Martin companies, at their headquarters, in Washington D.C.
Defence Minister's Meetings with Members of the US Congress
On Tuesday, September 25th, Defence Minister Mihai Fifor had a series of meetings with the US Senators Lindsey Graham prominent member of the Budget Allocations Committee and Committee on Armed Services, Joni Ernst Chairman of Emerging Threats and Capabilities Subcommittee and with James Inhofe Chairman of the Committee on Armed Services.
Defence Minister's Meeting with Secretary of Defence James Mattis
The Minister of National Defence, Mihai Fifor, met with the US Secretary of Defence James Mattis, at Pentagon, on Wednesday, September 26th. The goal of this official visit was to continue the excellent dialogue between the Romanian minister and his American counterpart initiated a year ago, on the occasion of Mihai Fifor's visit to Washington. The dialogue was increased at Brussels, during the various NATO defence ministerials.
Defence Minister's Meeting with the Governor of Alabama State
As part of his official visit to the USA, defence minister Mihai Fifor met with the Governor of Alabama State, Kay Ivey, at the Alabama State Capitol, Montgomery Alabama- the capital city of the American state on Thursday, September 27th.
