Helicopter crashed in Bacãu - update

Warrant Officer III-rd class Laurenþiu Chiru and Sergeant 1st Class Vasile Manolache lost their lives in the air crash produced on Thursday, March 7, in Bacãu County.

Warrant Officer Laurenþiu Chiru, aged 33, was not married and was a board mechanic.

Sergeant 1st Class Vasile Manolache, aged 37, was married, had a child and a military medical orderly.

Major Petru Pricop (pilot) and Captain Cãtãlin Balmuº (pilot) and Corporal Doru Nãnescu (paramedic) were injured in the same event. The injured militaries were transported with a C-27 J Spartan military aircraft to Bucharest for benefit from medical treatment.

Military commemoration ceremonies will be held in all units throughout the country as well as in those located in the theaters of operations on Friday, March 8.
