Minister Angel Tîlvăr: “Romanian-Jordanian military cooperation can be enhanced in the fields of joint training and exchange of experience in the operation of the F16 aircraft.”
Defence Ministers’ visits to the Jordanian Royal Air Forces and the “King Abdullah II” Special Operations Forces Training Center from Amman
During the second part of the official visit paid to the Hashemit Kingdom of Jordan, Minister of National Defence, Angel Tîlvăr, visited the Jordanian Air Forces Headquarters and the “King Abdullah II “Special Operations Forces Training Center from Amman and attended a series of briefings made by Jordanian military specialists on the available training facilities and the certified specialty training in accordance with the NATO standards. Also, Minister Angel Tîlvăr had a meeting with the Romanian people settled in Jordan.
The Romanian official had a meeting with Major General Mohammad Hyasat, the Commander of the Jordanian Royal Air Forces. During the talks, the Romanian official emphasized Romania’s opening with regard to the cooperation in the air forces field, including in the fields of joint training and exchange of experience with respect to the operation of the F16 aircraft.
Other important topics listed on the official visit’s agenda was the meeting with Brigadier General Raed Al-Dora, the Commander of the “King Abdullah II “Special Operations Forces Training Center from Amman, and the visitation of the modern facilities of this elite training unit. Minister Angel Tîlvăr availed himself of this opportunity to point out the robust cooperation between the Jordanian and Romanian special forces by emphasizing the excellent results of the joint training programs, the participation in exercises and also ways of initiating future projects. In this context, he reminded of the celebration of 20 years since the establishment of the Special Operations Forces within the Romanian Armed Forces and commended the role of the Jordanian military experts within the continuous training program of these elite fighters.
The official visit to the Hashemit Kingdom of Jordan ended with a meeting with the representatives of the Romanian community from Jordan, who has got an essential role in consolidating the bilateral relations, its activity being appreciated by the Jordanian officialities.
