Ninth Edition of Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum
The Ministry of National Defence will be, again this year, the partner of the New Strategy Center think-tank in organizing, on May 22 and 23, the Ninth Edition of the "Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum", an event focused on defence, security and international relations issues regarding the wider Black Sea and Balkans region.
The conference, which will take place at InterContinental Athénée Palace in Bucharest, will also have the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as institutional partner, and the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in the Capital as academic partner.
Diplomats, military and analysts from the European Union, NATO and partner countries, Russian opposition leaders and heroes of Ukraine's resistance against Russian aggression are invited to attend the "Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum" international security conference.
The event will focus on four major topics: the transatlantic relationship and the recalibration of the American military presence in Europe and the Black Sea region; negotiations for a peace agreement in Ukraine and the need to prevent a new Russian attack, which could reach the Mouths of the Danube River and the border with Romania; Russia's real intentions in the peace negotiations in Ukraine and what kind of Russia we will have next to us, whether aggressive or willing to make concessions; continued support for the Republic of Moldova, so that this state's path to the European Union is not stopped by Russia's hybrid war.
Details regarding the conference program can be found by accessing the event website at: https://2bsecurityforum.ro/. New Strategy Center’s point of contact for journalists’ accreditation at the event: Denisa Radu, cell phone +40761.575.950, e-mail: denisa.radu@newstrategycenter.ro
