On the morning of February 27, at 06:57, the MoND radar systems detected, in the Ukrainian airspace, a drone moving towards the north of Tulcea County.

The air defence systems were placed on high alert, and, at 07:17, a message was issued to warn the population in the targeted area through the RO-ALERT system.

The unmanned air vehicle did not breach the national airspace and the alert ceased at 07:47.

The Ministry of National Defence permanently monitors the national airspace, in close cooperation with the NATO allies, to ensure the security and territorial integrity of Romania.
