Training activities in Babadag Secondary Combat Training Center
The joint training activities o the Romanian Land Force and US soldiers deployed at Mihail Kogãlniceanu Air Base, Constanța, continue, in the second half of April, with a series of exercises planned together with 4-3 AHB Battalion, a US Army helicopter structure, in the Babadag Secondary Combat Training Center, Tulcea County.
Thus, logistic training flights session will be conducted on route „Mihail Kogãlniceanu” Air Base - Babadag Secondary Combat Training Center through 13 – 17 April. Also, on Thursday, April 23rd, a training exercise which will simulate an air assault on a ground facility, while, an aircraft recovery exercise will be conducted through 27 April – 1 May.
The administrative displacement of the US soldiers on route „Mihail Kogãlniceanu” Air Base - Babadag Secondary Combat Training Center will be accompanied by Romanian Military Police crews. The planning of the training sessions was made by respecting all measures taken to limit the spread of COVID-19 virus. Thus, the soldiers will not get in contact with the population from the transited areas and the participation of the Romanian Aland Force soldiers and foreign partners from the NATO member countries deployed to Romania to take part in the collective training process will be done by approaching innovative training methods exclusively in the perimeter of the training areas, the procedures being adapted to the operational requirements, in the context of the current epidemics.

According to Art. 7, Annex no. 1 from Decree no 195/16, as of March 2020, on the declaration of the state of emergency on Romanian territory , published in Official Monitor no.212, as of 16 March 2020, “the exercises, simulations and other kinds of activities that can interfere with the measures taken by competent authorities in order to prevent and combat the spread of COVID19 infections are suspended with the exception of the military actions conducted in the training areas so that the forces of the institutions functioning within the National Defence, Public Order and National Security System can always be available to intervene in real situations generated by the COVID-19 pandemics.”
