The acceptance tests of the first PATRIOT High Surface- to-Air Missile Battery of the Air Force Staff were finalized

The ceremony occasioned by the finalization of the acceptance tests and the final reception of the first PATRIOT High Surface- to-Air Missile Battery which entered the Air Force Staff property took place on Thursday, 29th October, at the headquarters of the Air Defence National Training Center “General de brigadã Ion Bungescu” from Capu Midia.

The activity was attended by representatives of the General Directorate of Armaments, Air Force Staff and Office of Defence Cooperation (ODC).

The chiefs of the testing teams of the United States Government and the Ministry of National Defence presented the conclusions drawn after having ended this activity, which had been conducted over 10 weeks, as well as the actions to be taken in order to continue the implementation and consolidation of PATRIOT air defence and antiballistic capability, procured by Romania according to Law no. 222/2017.

The Romanian soldiers will go through a training stage on the specific configuration elements of the first PATRIOT system procured.

Also, the Romanian and American specialists analyze the preliminary elements of the following tests that are to be made to the PATRIOT systems which are to be delivered to our country in 2022.
