MoND specifications

The Ministry of National Defence was informed on Friday, June 5^th, at 06:20, that a naval drone was observed in Berth 78, in the Port of Constanta. 

The Romanian Naval Authority is responsible for monitoring the naval traffic in the Black Sea. 

At this time, the Ministry of National Defence forces - boats and helicopters - are monitoring the area. 

We remind you that a drone self-detonated today, around 10:30, in the Port of Constanta, without causing any casualties. 

The object is not part of the Romanian Armed Forces' equipment and was not used in the recent exercises conducted by the Ministry of National Defence in the Black Sea area. 

The situation is dynamic and we will provide further information and official data as they become available. 

The case is being investigated by the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Constanța Court of Appeal.
