Enhanced Vigilance Activity Battlegroup IOC in Romania

Romanian Land Forces Command have finalized the necessary activities for declaring the initial operational capability, (IOC) of the NATO battlegroup to be established in Romania as part of the allied enhanced vigilance activities (eVA).

The IOC is based on the SACEUR’s authority to coordinate the eVA activities across the alliance.

The establishment of the NATO eVA represents a decisive message of cohesion and resolve. These measures increase the readiness and deter aggression towards the alliance and clearly demonstrate NATO’s firm commitment to the defense of all allies.
