Chief of Defence Staff at Dacian Spring 2023 Exercise

Dacian Spring 2023 aims at validating the rapid deployment of certain elements of the NATO Battle Group activating on Romanian and Bulgarian territories and their integration into the multinational divisions’ structure in order to conduct a defensive operation.

The training event was attended, for the first time, by structures of a French Rapid Reaction Brigade.

The Chief of Defence stated that the results of the exercise confirmed the increased reaction capacity of all participating structures as well as the capacity of the HQ Multinational Division South-East of conducting defence actions in its area of operations.

Dacian Spring 2023 has been taking place over 8-12 May, in all training facilities from Medgidia. Over 500 Romanian and foreign soldiers -mainly American, French and Italian ones-participate in this exercise.
