The visit of the Chief of General Staff of the National Army of the Republic of Moldova to Romania

The Chief of the Defense Staff, General Gheorghiță Vlad, met, on November 30th, with his counterpart from the Republic of Moldova, Colonel Vitalie Micov, who took over the mandate in mid-October.

 

The agenda of the two military leaders’meeting included issues regarding the regional security situation, the enhancement of military cooperation in the context of the strategic partnership between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, respectively the diversification of joint training.

 

"I assured the Chief of the General Staff of the National Army of the Republic of Moldova of the full support of the Romanian Armed Forces, both on the modernization component and on the training of the troops. I expressed my conviction that the extraordinary cooperative relationship built over time with the colleagues from the Republic of Moldova would be continuously consolidated and that we would stay committed to the same values ​​that unite us," General Gheorghiță Vlad said.

 

The agenda of the Moldovan official's visit to Romania also includes the participation in the National Military Parade organized on Sunday, December 1st, in Bucharest. Among the parade detachments that will present arms under the Arch de Triumph, there is also a detachment of the National Army of the Republic of Moldova.
