Media Day of Exercise “STEADFAST DART 25”

The sequence of Exercise “STEADFAST DART 25” available to media will be conducted on Wednesday, February 19, in Smârdan Firing Range, Galați County.

Journalists interested in participating in the activity are requested to send their identification data (name, surname, series and number of the identity card, phone number and media institution) by Monday, February 17, at 2 p.m., to e-mail address presamapn@mapn.ro. 

Journalists will be expected on Wednesday, February 19, between 11.00 and 11.30, at the entrance to Smârdan Firing Range. Access will be allowed based on the journalists’ identity cards and press badge. For live broadcasts, journalists are asked to use portable means as the DSNG access is not possible.

„STEADFAST DART 25” (STDT 25) was planned in 2024 by the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) and will showcase Allied Reaction Force’ deployment of troops and military equipment in an operational environment, for the first time since its establishment (July 1, 2024).

The exercise is being conducted in Bulgaria, Greece and Romania, with the participation of more than 10,000 soldiers from Bulgaria, France, Greece, Italy, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey.

Romania participates in STDT 25 with approximately 1,150 soldiers and 120 combat vehicles. The 15th Mechanized Brigade, the 81st Mechanized Brigade and the Joint Forces Command are some of the structures involved in the largest NATO exercise conducted this year.
