On Sunday, March 22, at around 8:50 p.m., following the detection of drones near the Romanian border with Ukraine, two Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft of the German Air Force, conducting enhanced Air Policing Service, were scrambled from the 57th Air Base "Mihail Kogălniceanu".

 

At 9:10 p.m., a RO-ALERT message was sent to the population in the north of Tulcea County and the Danube Delta.

 

The radar contact was lost when the target was evolving east of Sulina.

 

No aircraft debris were reported to have fallen on the national territory.

 

The air alert ceased at 10:00 p.m.
