Military EOD divers neutralized a naval mine discovered on the beach between Vama Veche and 2 Mai

The Romanian Naval Forces neutralized on Wednesday, June 3 rd , at 5:40 p.m., a YaRM (anti-landing) sea mine, discovered on the beach between Vama Veche and 2 Mai localities. The object was reported through a call to the emergency number 112 around 2:45 p.m.
 
Military EOD divers, specialized in the fight against explosive devices, went, starting 3:45 p.m., to the location indicated by the representatives of the "Dobrogea" Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, who implemented specific procedures to secure the area and destroy the mine.
 
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Romanian Naval Forces have neutralized nine of the 156 sea mines discovered in the Black Sea basin.
