The radar surveillance system of the Ministry of National Defence detected several aerial targets in Ukraine, near the border with Romania, on Tuesday, September 15.

Consequently, around 03:10 AM, an aerial target was detected approximately 35 kilometers north of Chilia.

Two Romanian Air Force F-16 aircraft, conducting Air Policing Service at the 86th Borcea Air Base, scrambled to monitor the situation.

The National Military Command Center notified the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations regarding the implementation of alert measures for the population in northern Tulcea County, and a RO-Alert message was issued at 03:18 AM.

Two additional targets were detected around 04:20 AM, 30 kilometers north of Periprava, and a new RO-Alert message was sent to the population in northern Tulcea County at 04:51 AM.

No breaches of the national airspace were reported.

The air alert ceased at 05:18 AM.
