On the night of October 5 to 6, the radar surveillance system of the Ministry of National Defence detected two aerial targets operating in the Ukrainian airspace, near the river border with Romania.
Two F-18 aircraft of the Spanish Air and Space Force, currently performing Enhanced Air Policing Service, scrambled from the 57th Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base.
The National Military Command Center notified the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations regarding the implementation of population alert measures in the northern and eastern parts of Tulcea County, and a RO-Alert message was sent at 02:20 AM.
No incursions into the national airspace were detected.
The air alert ceased at 03:14 AM.
