On the night of October 9 - 10, the radar surveillance system of the Ministry of National Defence detected an aerial target operating in the Ukrainian airspace, approximately 20 km north of Periprava, near the border with Romania.

Two F-18 aircraft of the Spanish Air and Space Force, currently performing Enhanced Air Policing Service, scrambled from the 57th Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base.

The National Military Command Center notified the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations regarding the implementation of population alert measures in northern Tulcea County, and a RO-Alert message was sent at 00:17 AM.

The air alert ended at 00:40 AM.

Subsequently, the radar surveillance system of the Ministry of National Defence detected another aerial target operating in the Ukrainian airspace, in the Chilia area, approximately 15 km east of Vylkove.

At 02:18 AM, a new RO-Alert message was issued to the population in northern Tulcea County.

The air alert ceased at 03:13 AM.

No incursions into the national airspace were detected.
