Eight NATO military convoys participating in NOBLE JUMP 2021 Exercise enter Romania
The first elements of NATO’s Very high Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF), which is to participate in Noble Jump 2021 Exercise, arrive in the country starting Tuesday, 11th May, on ground routes.
Thus, eight military convoys, made up of approximately 190 soldiers and 120 pieces military equipment, entered the county at Giurgiu Border Crossing Point.
The soldiers and the equipment will station in Bucharest until Wednesday, 12th May, when they will continue displacing towards “Getica” Joint National Training Center , Cincu, Brașov County.
Thus, the road traffic might be crowded on 11th, 12th, 20th and 21st May, on the displacement routes of the military convoys, as follows:
• 11th May, between 13.00 and 21.00, on route Giurgiu-Bucharest (E85);
• 12th May, between 6.00 and 20.00, on route Bucharest - Pitești (A1) - Râmnicu Vâlcea (E81) - Valea Oltului - Cincu;
• 20th May, between 10.00 and 19.00, on route Giurgiu - Bucharest (E85);
• 21th May, between 06:00-20:00, on route Bucharest - Pitești (A1) - Râmnicu Vâlcea (E81) - Valea Oltului - Cincu.

Noble Jump 2021 (NOJP21) is a short-time notice multinational exercise planned and conducted by the Joint Forces Command (JFC) Naples, over 19th May - 2nd June, on Romanian and Bulgarian territory.
NOJP21 will test the operational capability of the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) and the implementation status of the NATO’s Readiness Action Plan / RAP, in Bulgaria and Romania.
