Defence Minister’s participation in the Foreign Affairs Council Meeting (Defence) from Brussels

Minister of National Defence, Vasile Dîncu, will participate in the Foreign Affairs Council Meeting (Defence) from Brussels, on Monday, March 21, at Brussels.

The meeting agenda consists of an enlarged configuration working session dedicated to the debate and adoption of Strategic Compass, in a joint format of the EU Foreign Affairs and Defence Ministers.

The meeting will consist of enlarged debates on the main courses of action to be taken in order to consolidate the European Union’s profile, as global actor on the international arena but also to protect the European values and interests.

During a working dinner, the defence ministers will approach the situation from Ukraine generated by the unprovoked and unjustified Russian Federation’s military aggression as well as the support initiatives launched at EU level.

The meeting will also be attended by the Ukrainian defence minister, Oleksii Reznikov, in videoconference format.
