Integrated Strategic Assessment Conference in support of Ukraine, held in Bucharest
The Strategic Planning Directorate of the Defence Staff organized, between May 3rd and 5th, at the Palace of the National Military Club in Bucharest, the Integrated Strategic Assessment Conference in support of Ukraine, an event conducted in cooperation with the Global Foresight Strategies (GFS).
The activity brought together representatives of the security and defence institutions, international experts, analysts and specialists in strategic planning, with the aim of developing an integrated approach to assessing the security environment and identifying strategic challenges generated by regional and global developments.
The working sessions analyzed topics related to the geopolitical and security context generated by the war in Ukraine, the impact of technological transformations on the operational environment, the security of the Black Sea region, cognitive warfare and information manipulation, as well as the implications of global trends on the European and Euro-Atlantic security.
The conference included debates and strategic assessment exercises based on the ISA (Integrated Strategic Assessment) methodology, used to analyze complex security challenges and to support the integrated strategic planning process.
Participants stressed the importance of cooperation among national institutions, allies and partners for the development of modern strategic assessment mechanisms, adapted to the current security environment, characterized by volatility, strategic competition and multidimensional threats.
Through this conference, the Ministry of National Defence reaffirms its commitment to enhancing international cooperation and developing the necessary capabilities for integrated strategic planning, capable of facing the current and future challenges in the Euro-Atlantic region.
